Find a quiet spot alone. Find a tree in your own yard or a park if you can.
Either sit facing the tree and focus on it or sit with your back against the tree.
If you can't find a spot near a tree, envision your hand holding a tree as on the cover of this booklet.
Apply some of the Tree Meditation Blend to your hands and hold them over nose while inhaling deeply several times.
Rub some of the Tree Meditation Blend on your temples, base of your skull, center of your chest, on your feet or Chakra Points.
Use the Petrified Wood to move in circles on the areas where you have placed the Tree Meditation Blend.
For a more in-depth self-massage follow the instructions for Aromatherapy Crystal Self-Massage available at www.outoftheearth.com/aromacrystalself.html
Hold the Petrified Wood as you breathe with the tree.

Breathe with the Tree
Relax your body with deep cleansing breaths.
Ground yourself by envisioning your roots moving into the earth below your tailbone.
As you breathe in and out feel the tree breathing along with you, inhaling oxygen through it's leaves.
Feel the roots of your being branching out through the ground to embrace the roots of the tree you are meditating with.
Inhale the steady, grounded energy of the tree in through your lungs.
Exhale the scattered or stressful energy held within yourself deep into the ground through your roots.
Feel the energy moving into the earth from your body and meeting the tree's roots.
Feel the energy dissipate into the earth around the roots.
Feel the new energy you and the tree are breathing in simultaneously through your lungs and out through your roots.
Slowly make your breaths less deep and center yourself back in your body.
Be sure to thank the tree for helping to dissipate any negative energy.
