Aromatherapy Crystal Massage Technique for Feet & Calves

 

 Legs from Knee to Ankle

 

  • Apply plenty of Aromatherapy Massage Blend to cover leg from knee to ankle.
  • Avoid running crystals into ankle bones and bone at front of calf.

 

Effleurage ~  2 hands

Palms flat on calf at ankle, thumbs together, smooth to knee.  Return to ankle, moving

hands to cover sides of leg. 

Palm Stone Technique ~

Hold a palm stone in each hand and follow technique above. 

 

 Alternate Palms ~ 1 hand

Hold foot and use one hand at ankle, brushing in an upward, sweeping movement to top

of calf. 

Palm Stone Technique ~

Hold a palm stone in one hand and follow technique above. 

 

Alternate Thumbs ~ 2 hands

Cradle ankle with hands, allowing thumbs to lay above ankle.  Apply pressure with thumbs,

brushing in an upward and outward movement alternating thumbs.   Work slowly up leg

to knee.

 

Fanning ~

Hands together on calf, turn fingers towards sides by pivoting on heel of hand. Press fingers

into muscle as if flattening. Turn hands back to center gently. Move hands towards knee

gradually.

Palm Stone Technique ~

Hold a palm stone in each hand and follow technique above. 

Careful not to hit bone down center of calf.

 

Calf Split ~ 1 hand

Hold foot with one hand.  Hold 4 fingers together and draw down center of back of calf

from back of knee to ankle.  Use gentle pressure near back of knee.

  

Butterfly ~ 2 hands

Start one hand at ankle, fan fingers and push up about 2 inches.  Start other hand just

underneath first hand and repeat stroke.  One hand chases the other hand up to knee.

 

Effleurage ~  2 hands

Palms flat on calf at ankle, thumbs together, smooth to knee.  Return to ankle, moving

hands to cover sides of leg.

Hold a palm stone in each hand and follow technique above. 

 

 Sphere Technique

Caged Circles ~ Vibrational Technique ~  Hold sphere on calf with fingers forming

a cage around sphere.  Make quick circles allowing crystal to spin and roll within the

cage of your hand.  This creates a vibration within the crystal which transfers to the

body.  Work fairly small circles quickly, keeping crystal spinning.

  

·         Repeat for other leg.


Foot

 

  • Uncover one foot and apply plenty of Aromatherapy Massage Blend to cover whole area.

 

Friction Stroke Sole~

Use large thumb muscle to make circles on sole. 

 

     Palm Stone Technique ~

Hold a palm stone in one hand and follow technique above. 

 

 Friction Stroke Top of Foot~

Use large thumb pad to push from base of toes to ankle.  Use gentle pressure over bones.

Move in an upward direction only not side to side.

 

Combo Friction Stroke ~

Do both friction stroke moves simultaneously without Crystals.  Draw both hands down foot, then alternate.

 

Press and Release ~

Squeeze with palms of both hands upward from toes to ankle.

 

Alternate Press and Release ~

Use hands alternately to squeeze and release (milking) foot and ankle.

 

Sphere Technique ~ Caged Circles ~ Vibrational Technique ~  Hold sphere on foot

with fingers forming a cage around sphere.  Make quick circles allowing crystal to spin

and roll within the cage of your hand.  This creates a vibration within the crystal which

transfers to the body.  Work fairly small circles quickly, keeping crystal spinning.

 

 

Knuckle Roll ~

With one hand bracing top of foot place knuckles of other hand on sole and roll up and down. 

 

 

Ankle Circles ~

Hold foot with 4 fingers on each hand in hollows around ankle bones. Rotate fingers

into hollows moving clockwise. Do long sweeping circles around each ankle, then do

small circles with fingertips in circles around ankle.

 

 Chest Stretch ~

Pull with large thumb pads from center of back of foot to outer edges.

 

 Divide the Sole ~

Draw 4 fingers of each hand alternately from top of heel to base of toes down center of sole.

 

 Pressure Circles ~

Use index and next finger’s knuckles to press and rotate on sole of foot, sink pad gently

into muscle tissue and rotate slowly.  Work down the sole in lines from base of toes to

bottom of heel to cover entire surface. 

     Palm Stone Technique

Hold a palm stone in one hand and follow technique above. 

 

Pinch Webbing ~

Using thumb and index finger, gently draw down between bones of foot and pinch

webbing between each toe and rotate.

 

Toe Twist and Pull ~

Grasp each toe between your thumb and index fingers and gently twist and pull from

base to ends.

 

Draw Between Toes ~

Pull index fingers alternately between toes, working from one side then the other.

  

Alternate Toe Pull ~

Draw each hand alternately down each side of foot from heel pulling toes.

 

 

Palm Stone Technique

 

Hold a palm stone in one hand, glide all over foot.

 

Heel Ridge ~ 
Press thumb firmly against upper and inner ridge of heel and stroke firmly back and forth.

 

Alternating Thumbs Sole ~

Hold foot with both hands, fingers on sole, thumbs on top.  Stroke from base of toes over instep and ankle with alternating thumb strokes.

 

Alternate Thumbs Toes ~

Alternate thumbs pushing one toe at a time.  Stroke from base to tips.

Light Nerve Stroke ~

Draw fingers lightly from ankle to ends of toes.

 

·         Cover foot.

·         Uncover other foot.

·         Repeat with other foot.


Finishing Treatment

Sesame Milk

½ cup sesame seeds and 1 cup water

Bring to boil, then simmer very low 1 hour, strain and store in fridge in squeeze bottle.  This will go bad quickly, so make in small amounts and use right away.
